Key West Real World Begins Filming

Despite a local businessman's legal challenges, the Key West Real World has begun filming. The cast members are in the house and production has begun. A hearing is scheduled in the County Court for Wednesday September 21, 2005 where a judge will hear decide on whether to issue an injuction to stop production.
I would guess that this will not happen. My suspicion is that the local businessman, Ed Swift (owner of the biggest tour operation on the island - the Conch Tour Train and Trolley), will be satisfied if he can get MTV to include his business in the production...maybe have the cast members take a Train tour. Just my speculation, but I wouldn't put it past him. He known as a very aggressive businessman.

This Ed Swift b a s t a r d is a very good reason for me not to visit Key West. I am not going on vacation in a so-called "friendly" atmosphere when a man who is rich from tourism income is such a prick. Ed Swift can go to hell.

the real world is freekin awesome!!!!! i dont like "ed swift" he thinks he's hot Shyt. he's no-1 special but one of the owners of the trolley trains. he didn't want the real world there because of "paparazzi" or whoever visiting the real world house, and didn't want to be bothered.... well i don't like being bothered by the trolley trains... they take up the entire roads, and annoy me much more then the real world would or could ever annoy anyone.... ed is just a biotchey old senior man. im so glad they were able to film in the location they did, and no-1 was able to stop them!! HAHAHA ED!!!! they did it anyway!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Ed's just a hypocrite. Well I dont live in Key West (canada rather) Its funny to see how a show does so well and someone else wants to cash in, even when its not their idea. Ed doesnt like the tourism its bringing in because its not HIM bringing it.

Either way, this issue is stupid. Let them film and be on their way. Heck, if you need somewhere to film come to Canada. We'd be happy to have The Real World come here hehehe
